WHAT DO BIRDS, SEEDS, AND HELICOPTERS HAVE IN COMMON? THEY FLY! THROUGH HANDS-ON DEMONSTRATIONS AND AN INTERACTIVE STORY TIME, STUDENTS WILL COMPARE NATURAL VERSUS MECHANICAL FIGHT BEFORE BUILDING AND LAUNCHING THEIR OWN FLYING MACHINES.

CLASSROOM PROGRAM: FLIGHT, FORCES & MOTION

STUDENTS WILL DISCOVER THE SCIENCE OF FLIGHT THROUGH INTERACTIVE DEMONSTRATIONS OF THE FOUR FORCES (LIFT, THRUST, WEIGHT AND DRAG) BEFORE CONDUCTING A FOCUSED INVESTIGATION AS THEY DESIGN, BUILD AND TEST FLY THEIR OWN STRAW GLIDERS. GRADE LEVEL | 3-8
